TEAM ROSTERS:
Team
rosters are limited to the following number of players
U7 and U8

(18) players maximum – 3 guest players allowed (11v11)
ELIGIBILITY:
All players
must have a valid/current STYSA ID Card.
The ID card must have the player's signature; player’s picture
attached to the back, and is laminated.
If the player ID card is not available, the player Registration forms
may be used. Each team must submit a team roster validated and signed by your
league's registrar. All players
with the exception of guest players must be included on the roster. A STYSA
medical release form must be submitted for each player.
DIVISIONS:
Single age
groups and levels of competition will form divisions, where possible. The number of teams entering each
division will determine final brackets.
FINALS:
Semi-final
and Finals will be scheduled as determined by the number of teams in each
bracket.

Championship
and semi-championship games will be regulation length. Only championship games will play overtime to break a tie.
Ø
Semi-championship
games will proceed directly to STYSA "Kicks from the Penalty Mark”
if the game is tied at the end of regulation play.
Ø
Overtime
periods will consist of two 10-minute halves. If the game remains tied after 2
overtime halves, STYSA "Kicks from the Penalty Mark" will be used to
break the tie. The FIFA "Golden Goal" rule will not apply to overtime games.
SCOREKEEPING:
Game cards
will be included in every coach’s packet. The HOME TEAM coach is
responsible for providing a game card and ball to the referee before each game.
Referees will record scores, along with any player cautions / ejections issued,
and return to the winning coach. The WINNING TEAM coach is responsible for
turning in scorecards into the tournament headquarters at the completion
of each
game (HOME TEAM in the event of a tie).
SCORING SYSTEM:
Scoring for
each game will be as follows:

Win-
6 points, plus 1 point for each goal scored(max of 3 goals)
Ø
Tie-
3 points, plus 1 point for each goal scored (max of 3 goals)
Ø
Loss-
0 points, plus 1 point for each goal scored (max of 3 goals)
Ø
Bonus-
1 point is awarded for a shutout
Ø
Forfeit
will be scored as a Win + 3 goals + a Shutout = 10pts. In addition, any team who forfeits a
game is not eligible for semi-final or championship games.
Ø
Red
and Yellow Cards will not affect team points or standings. However, each player must sit out one
game for each 3-penalty points accrued. Any player that reaches a total of 6
penalty points will be disqualified from all remaining games. Each Red card will be worth 3 penalty
points and each yellow card will be worth 1 penalty point. In addition, Quest
Youth Soccer Club has the responsibility to report all red and yellow cards to
STYSA in the post-tournament report. .
GAME STARTING TIMES:
All teams
should be at the field fifteen (15) minutes before each games scheduled time.
TIE BREAKER:
In the event
of a tie determining which team advances to a semi-final or championship game,
the following system will be used:
Ø
Head-to
Head competition.
Ø
The
total number of goals scored minus the total number of goals allow for each
game. A maximum of a three (3) goal difference will be scored per game. For example: if a game ends with a final score
of 5-2, the winning team will receive a +3 and the losing team a -3 for goal
differential.
Ø
Least
goals allowed for all games (Goals Against).
Ø
Coin
toss.
If a finals
games is tied at the end of regulation 2-10 minute periods. If the game remains
tied after both overtime periods, the Match will be decided using penalty
kicks.
HOME TEAM:
The team
listed first in each pairing is the home team. Home teams are responsible for
providing
a game card, game ball, and alternate jersey if case of a color conflict.
MISCELLANEOUS RULES:
Ø
No
hard cast, padded or otherwise. NO
exceptions!
Ø
No
jewelry of any kind (i.e., rings, watches, necklaces, hair accessories, etc.)
Ø
A
player may play on only one (1) team in the tournament.
Ø
There
will be free substitutions (i.e., throw-ins, goal kicks, etc.) for both teams
with
Center Referees permission.
RED CARDS:
Any coach or
player receiving a red card must sit out the next actual game played.
REFEREES:
Licensed
referees will be scheduled for each game and should arrive at least 15 minutes
before game time. In the event a referee does not show up, it is the
responsibility of the two coaches to either locate an alternate referee or to
agree on a person to referee the game. This person then assumes the role of
referee for the match with the same authority as a licensed referee. The
scheduled starting time of the game should not be delayed in an attempt to
locate a licensed referee. If you are interested in being a referee during the

PROTEST:
No protest
will be allowed. The referee's
decision is final.
RAIN OUTS:
In the event
of a rain out or inclement weather, games will be rescheduled for the following
weekend if there is no conflict with a BAYSA schedule. Coaches should first
check our website at www.qysctournaments.org
and follow the tournament links.

No refunds are given once the tournament has started.
REFUNDS:
A full
refund will be provided if any age group is full. There will be no refunds of
teams that are already bracketed unless there is a replacement team. In this case
the refund will be less a $50.00 administrative fee. Teams submitting incorrect
or false information will forfeit their entire fee.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
In the event
of a cancellation of the tournament, a 50% refund will be returned to each
team. This means no games have been played. Once games start no refunds will be
given.
